Between September 19 and May 6, we have performed 13 times. From Florida to Puerto Rico to South Carolina and to Virginia and West Virginia. We have seen many salvations including cast members. In WV, one of our cast, a 10th grade young man, gave his life to Christ during the altar call after our production. Praise God that His word reached this young man as he watched and listened to a portrayal of Jesus sharing words of life. To read more about Puerto Rico, click here.

BRAZIL
On May 3, we held our second bbq lunch fundraiser which netted $1000 towards our trip to Brazil in September. We are excited to be returning to perform THE LAST SUPPER in Portuguese and also our new production, PARABLES, in English. We will be staying with the same pastor from our 2010 tour. They are excited to have us back and we are expecting a very busy schedule.

PARABLES - our New Production
We have mentioned a few times our new production, PARABLES. We wrote this to not use volunteers due to the problems we found churches were having during the summer. But what we didn’t anticipate was the ministry this has opened up for us in assisted living facilities. What a joy it is to be able to share this production in these venues. We have seen how it has brought such joy as the elderly see and hear the good news of salvation in a fun loving production. We praise God for opening this new door. To see some video clips from PARABLES, click here.

HOSPITALITY
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.  Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Romans 12:12-13
When we are in Florida, we (Charlotte and Steve) stay with a single gal in here home. Susan Dean has opened her home to us several times now when we are performing in FL. She truly has the gift of hospitality and how we love being with her. On a recent tour to Northern WV, a couple housed all 4 of us (Newcombs and Shorts) in their home - a first for them to host anyone. How they (and we) were blessed with the fellowship we enjoyed! I am sure they were surprised at the friendship that God forged that weekend. We are looking forward to seeing them over July 4 down in our neck of the woods. Has God called you to sharing the hospitality? We encourage you to experience the joy that comes with providing hospitality for and with the saints!

MILESTONES OF MAY AND JUNE

Carrie graduated from Appalachian State University on May 12 with high honors in Criminal Justices. This follows a semester interning at the Asheville NC Police Department where she is hoping to work part time and later join their academy program.

June 9 is the big day for Andrea and her Fiancé, Matt, to join in marriage in Orange County, CA. The whole family will be there to share in the joy, and then we will stay for a few more weeks to meet with friends and donors.
